The Flint Youth Film Festival provides a variety of free experiences for everyone involved. The Flint Youth Film Festival introduces the art of filmmaking to young filmmakers under the age of 25. It provides these young filmmakers with venues for developing their storytelling talents as well as opportunities to share creative work with peers, the public and professional filmmakers and screenwriters.  We engage them through social media inviting them to comment on sponsored events and activities as well as inviting them to attend. Finally, through all of the activities of the July festival and awards ceremony, we engage participants and their families in a celebration of their work and art. Our audiences even have an important role in the awards ceremony since they vote for the Audience Choice Award.
