The Tempest at the Fenton Shakespeare in the Park Festival

Bring a blanket or lawn chair and a picnic basket of goodies, and settle in to watch an exciting professional production of The Tempest by William Shakespeare under the stars in one of Fenton’s most beautiful parks.

After their successful productions of Much Ado About Nothing(2021) and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2022), they return to Fenton’s Rackham Park with one of Shakespeare’s magical final plays – The Tempest, directed by Karen Sheridan.

The banished duke Prospero and his daughter Miranda have lived on a desolate island since he was thrust out of power by his usurping brother Antonio. As a ship filled with his enemies sails nearby, Prospero conjures a tempest that leaves them wrecked and sprawled on his shores.  Through magic and twists,
Prospero exacts revenge… as his daughter discovers something altogether different.
