Fenton Community Orchestra Spring Concert

FCO Concert photo

Many styles of music performed by the FCO and Simply Strings.

The FCO is offering some varied repertoire for our audience. George Gershwin’s “An American in Paris” is a unique jazz/classical hybrid piece that is still fresh and exuberant nearly 100 years after its premiere in 1928. We’re featuring guest conductor Dr. Doug Burtch on Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Capriccio Espagnol.” Additional music includes Beethoven’s Fidelio Overture, two famous arias from Puccini, and works by African American composer Florence Price and our own Jerry Kortge. We will be joined by our adult novice group Simply Strings.
