A tribute to the Motown girl groups and female solo artists who helped to make Motown the giant it became.
Dazzling Divas is a tribute musical paying homage to those great girl groups and solo acts that propelled the Motor City Record Company from the ordinary to greatness. The play presents facts and figures to attest to that fact, beginning with the first number one hit recorded on the Motown label, \”Please Mr. Postman,\” by the Marvelettes, to the Supreme\’s swan song, \”Someday We\’ll be Together,\” and all of the acts in between. Featuring the music of the Marvelettes, the Supremes, Martha and the Vandellas, the Elgins, the Velvelettes, Gladys Knight and the Pips, Mary Wells, Brenda Holloway, Kim Weston, Tammi Terrell and many more.
