A dreadlocked singer-songwriter-guitarist for close to five decades Deidre McCalla, Black woman, mother, lesbian, feminist, has long been in the forefront of the growing number of Black musicians reconfiguring perceptions of how Black folk do folk.
The Flint Folk Music society presents a concert by acclaimed veteran folk musician Deidre McCalla on Saturday, March 11 at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Flint, 2474 S. Ballenger Hwy., Flint. Admission is $15 at the door. There is no advance ticket sale.
