The Center for Global Engagement invites you to join the Taiwan Bunun Indigenous Music & Film Festival, October 13-27. The festival features the culture and music of the Bunun tribal people in Taiwan.
Join us online and in-person to:
Listen to Bunun music performed by the National Chinese Orchestra Taiwan using traditional Chinese musical instruments as well as Bunun musical instruments performed by the Bunun tribal members. (October 13-27)
Attend an International Lecture & Panel Discussion of Bunun music and culture featuring UM-Flint’s Professor of Anthropology, Daniel Birchok, Ph.D. (October 14)
Watch “Listen Before you Sing” a documentary film by Chih-Lin Yang and attend the post-screening Q&A with the film director. (October 21)
