This remake of McCree Theatre’s timeless Black Nativity series, revisits this Holiday favorite that is chock full of all of the songs of the Season. Christmas at a Crossroads raises the question how far have we strayed from the reason for the Season
Christmas at a Crossroads was first produced as Christmas at the Crossroads in 2003 at the Foss Avenue Baptist Church. It was also the “New” McCree Theatre’s inaugural play in December 2004 following the re-establishment of McCree Theatre as a creative force in the Greater Flint Area. It was performed repeatedly under several incarnations over the years until, roughly, 2015. After several calls to make it an annual presentation during the Holidays, we finally relented. This production is in keeping with that promise.
The story, of course, is as timeless as time itself. However, as we move into the core of the 21st century, we should continually ask, how far have we deviated from the intent of Jesus the Christ’s presence here on Earth? There is no better time to deal with ... view more »
