Auditions for the coming of age play, The Saints of St. John Street

This two-act play is loosely based on the childhood memories of the playwright, Charles Winfrey, who grew up in the St. John Street neighborhood. It is the story of a group of friends who learned a lot about baseball, but more about life.

This is a casting call for the New McCree Theatre’s production of the Saints of St. John Street. Cast requires actors 10 – adult, male and female, including approximately eight (8) teens and pre-teens, four boys and four girls. The remaining cast are all adults, consisting of five adult females, one young adult female, four (4) adult males, and one young adult male. Interested persons should come prepared to read a poem or monologue and to perform cold readings from the script. Performances are February 8 – 24, 2024.
