Saturday Salon at Whaley House

A variety program of music, art, literature, featuring some of the most interesting people in and around Flint

Before the internet, before television, before radio, people would gather in their homes and parlors and entertain each other with music, poetry, literature, stories, dance, jokes, art, and conversation. Join us at the Whaley House Historic Museum for a traditional Salon Recital, a “cultured” “society” variety show with new guests, new performers, new voices each month. Have you got something interesting to share? We’d love to add you to a future program!

2025 themes:

April 5: Spring Variety Show!

May 3: Victory in Europe Day! WWII songs, patriotic songs & readings, USO-style entertainment

June 7: Father’s Day! Dad songs, dad poems, dad jokes, dad snacks

Aug 2: Summer Camp!

September 6th: Labor & Union Celebration!

October 4th: Spooky & Macabre!
